Cathédrale St Etienne de Sens (출처-http://fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cath%C3%A9drale_Saint-%C3%89tienne_de_Sens)
1143년 이전에 기공되어 1168년에 대부분이 완성되었다. 2개씩 짝지어진 원주로 지탱되어 있는 반원 아치와 두껍고 넓은 벽체 등은 로마네스크 양식에서의 과도적 특징을 나타내고 있다. 그러나 같은 시대의 생드니 수도원이나 사르트르 대성당 같은 파리 지구의 초기 고딕건축과는 전혀 다른 성격을 가진 건축의 예로서 중요한 의미가 있다. 서쪽 파사드와 그것을 장식하는 조각군은 13~14세기, 높은 탑은 13세기 초기의 것이며 스테인드글라스에는 12∼17세기에 만든 작품도 남아 있다. (출처- 네이버 백과사전)
